STICKY CHICKEN WINGS

Ingredients:

Cooking Spray

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Salt

¼ tsp Black Pepper

2-3 lbs. Chicken Wings drums and flats separated and wing tips removed (about 24-30 wing pieces)

For the sticky barbecue sauce:

1 tsp Yellow Mustard

2 tbsp Ketchup

¼ c Honey

¼ c Brown Sugar

1½ c Plain Barbecue Sauce use your favourite brand

1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the chicken wings, then toss until coated.

Apply cooking spray onto a baking sheet.

Arrange the chicken wings onto the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to leave a small space between each wing.

Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the chicken wings for about 30 minutes or until done. Remove from the oven.

Line with cooling rack a baking sheet, then apply cooking spray on it.

Lay the chicken wings onto the prepared baking sheet skin side-up.

Put them back inside the oven and bake for another 15 minutes. Remove from the oven.

For the Sauce:

Place a saucepan on the stove, then add honey, ketchup, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir until well blended.

Place the saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Simmer for a few minutes while stirring from time to time.

Reduce the heat down to low. Transfer 3/4 of it into a bowl and set aside the rest for later use.

For the Chicken Wings:

Arrange the chicken wings onto a clean plate, then brush each with the BBQ sauce.

Put them back inside the oven and bake for 5 more minutes.

Remove the chicken wings from the oven, then brush each with more BBQ sauce.

Bake for another 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the chicken wings to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
