The Easiest And Most Delicious One Bowl Fudgy Cocoa Brownies

Mix it up in one bowl. It takes only five minutes.

Growing up, my mom would make brownies from a boxed recipe. Cookies were made from scratch, angel food cake was made from scratch, and bread was made from scratch …. But brownies? Mix in a box. So I assumed brownies were difficult or complicated to make by myself. Although they are possible, this recipe is just as easy to make as a pre-made one. This is a one-bowl brownie made with cocoa powder. There’s no need to melt the chocolate! It also makes a delicious, fudgy brownie that is my favorite recipe. There’s no need to use boxed mixes!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup Dutch-processed or unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/4 cups chocolate chips, divided

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or nonstick spray. Line with parchment paper, leaving an overhang over the sides and grease once more. Set aside.

In a large bowl, stir together melted butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt and stir until just combined but don’t overmix. Fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips.

Spread batter evenly in prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.

Bake until brownies are just set, 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
