If you are looking for a recipe to serve as a snack, then you have come to the right page! This recipe of banana bread is an old one. My Grandma used to make this for us pretty much all the time. I am so glad that she taught me this simple yet delicious heavenly treat. The amazing golden colour if the crust will surely salivate you and the smell? Oh, man! It’s very aromatic. Your house will surely smell wonderful. This bread is best served with a nice hot coffee or tea. Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine-one stick
3 ripe bananas-very ripe is great
2 eggs-beaten
1 tsp baking soda
2 cup flour
1/2 cup nuts chopped-pecans or walnuts
Directions:
Step 1: Apply cooking spray in a loaf pan.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add the butter and salt. Beat until creamy.
Step 3: Add in 3 mashed bananas and 2 eggs. Beat until well blended.
Step 4: In another medium mixing bowl, sift the flour and baking soda.
Step 5: Transfer the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Beat until well combined and fold in the chopped nuts.
Step 6: Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Step 7: Place inside the oven and bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour or until the colour turns brown and a toothpick comes out clean after inserting in the middle of the bread. Do not overbake.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and sprinkle powdered sugar or brush butter on top right away.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
