INGREDIENTS :
3/4 c (170g) butter, divided
2 c (250g) all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
1 c (245g) whole milk
2 c (8oz, 230g) mild cheddar cheese
½ tsp dried parsley
INSTRUCTIONS :
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 220 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
Step 2: Line with parchment paper or with Silpat a large baking sheet.
Step 3: Put 1/2 cup of the butter in a microwavable bowl and put it inside the microwave. Heat for about 45 minutes or until melted completely.
Step 4: In another mixing bowl, add the sugar, flour, garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, and baking powder, then whisk until well mixed.
Step 5: In the bowl with the melted butter, add the milk. Stir until well blended.
Step 6: Transfer the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until mixed. Do not over mix.
Step 7: Add in the shredded cheese and stir until well combined.
Step 8: Drop 1/2 cup of the dough onto a baking sheet. You can make about 8 of them.
Step 9: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 10: Meanwhile, allow the rest of the butter to melt inside the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Step 11: Add in all the parsley and 1 teaspoon of salt to taste. Stir until well mixed.
Step 12: Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush each with the butter-parsley mixture on top while they are still hot.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
