This recipe will always have a very special place in my heart. I remember my aunt Jenna used to make this Pecan Pie all the time! This was the first recipe I learned. I was 10 years old at that time. Now, allow me to share this family recipe with you! Everybody deserves to taste how perfectly delicious this pie is. Here you go! Just follow these simple steps for they will guide you to perfection! If you want to modify it a bit, you are more than welcome to do so. I am sure that you can do a lot to make this very simple recipe even better! Okay, enough with the long introduction. Ingredients:
1/3 cup melted butter (salted)
1 whole unbaked pie crust (I use “Sylvia’s Perfect Pie Crust” recipe)
1 cup (heaping) chopped pecans
1 cup white sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
3 whole Eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Whip the pie crust until smooth.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, add eggs, corn syrup, vanilla. salt, sugars, and butter. Beat until well blended and smooth.
Scatter the chopped pecans into the pie shell.
Pour the egg mixture over the pecans.
Cover it with aluminium foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes
Remove the foil cover, then bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a couple of hours.
