This Goulash recipe was taught to me by my Grandma. Oh, man, she was a very good cook! I am so glad that I learned how to cook this awesome meal. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef
2 large yellow onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 c water
1 c beef broth
Two 15-oz cans of tomato sauce
Two 15-oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp oregano
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp pepper
2 c elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Step 1: Place a Dutch oven on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 2: Add the ground beef and cook for a few minutes until brown and crumbly. Discard any excess grease.
Step 3: Add the onions and sauté for 5 minutes or until translucent.
Step 4: Add 1 cup of beef broth, 2 cups of water, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, seasonings, and bay leaves. Stir until well combined.
Step 5: Cover the Dutch oven and cook everything for 25 minutes,
Step 6: Add the macaroni and stir until just mixed.
Step 7: Allow everything to simmer for 5 minutes or until the macaroni is al dente.
Step 8: Remove the pot from the heat and discard the bay leaves.
Step 9: Spoon the Goulash into serving bowls and top each with a generous amount of shredded cheese on top.
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
