Homemade French Onion Dip

You can make it whenever you like with just a few pantry ingredients.

All my friends know one thing about me: I bring French Onion Dip to any occasion that chips or dip are allowed. Always. It’s great for snacking, and it’s better than chips or salsa, whether it’s at a party, camping, or casual backyard barbecue. It has been a favorite of mine for as long time as I can remember, so I have had the opportunity to form some opinions about the matter. They are: Pre-made stuff in a jar or tub is not something I love. Mixing it is what I love. Two brands are my favorite. It’s better to have both mayo and sour cream.

French Onion Dip is something I love. But I thought, how easy could I make it? This is not the same as making a version from scratch that involves slow caramelizing onions. This is a substitute for the lovely seasoning packet dip. It’s made with a few ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen, and tastes equally delicious.
