INGREDIENTS
4 ounces linguine pasta
2 breast half, bone and skin removed (blank)s skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
4 medium (blank)s fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 green onion, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
¼ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Place a large pot on the stove and pour salted water in.
Step 2: Turn the heat to high and allow the water to boil.
Step 3: Add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until firm to bite.
Step 4: Drain the water and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 5: In a plastic bag, place the chicken and season it with Cajun seasoning. Shake the bag to coat the chicken.
Step 6: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 7: Add butter or margarine and allow it to melt.
Step 8: Lay the seasoned chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until soft and tender.
Step 9: Add the green and red bell peppers, green onion, and mushrooms. Cook for 3 minutes or until soft.
Step 10: Reduce the heat to low and add the cream, garlic powder, lemon, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed and hot.
Step 11: Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated and hot.
Step 12: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Step 13: Remove from the heat.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
