BETTER THAN TAKEOUT FRIED RICE

This recipe speaks for itself! It is better than takeout, I’m telling you! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! This was given to me by my dear friend, Abigail. I am so glad that I gave it a try because I never would have tasted perfection! Like what I have stated on the note, feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Always serve this fried rice hot. Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter, divided

3 Eggs, lightly beaten

1 large carrot, peeled and cubed

1 small white onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

4-5 cups cooked and chilled rice

1 c. frozen peas

4 green onions, thinly sliced

¼ cup soy sauce (plus more to taste)

2 teaspoon sesame oil

3 teaspoons oyster sauce

salt and pepper

Directions:

Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 2: Add a tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt.

Step 3: Add the eggs, then cook and scramble for just about 40 seconds. Remove the egg from the skillet.

Step 4: Add the rest of the butter into the skillet, then allow it to melt.

Step 5: Add the onion and carrot. Sauté until translucent.

Step 6: Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic.

Step 7: Turn the heat to medium-high. Add the peas and cold rice. Cook for 4 minutes.

Step 8: Add the scrambled eggs, soy sauce, green onion, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir and cook until done.

Step 9: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.

Step 10: Serve hot and enjoy!

Note:

Feel free to add more amount of ingredients if you prefer. Taste to your liking.
