Ingredients:
Bang Bang Sauce:
1/2 c mayo
1/2 tsp sriracha sauce or less or more to taste
1/4 c sweet chilli sauce
Bang Bang Shrimp Batter:
1-2 pound jumbo shrimp shell off and deveined
1/2 c buttermilk
3/4 c cornstarch
1 c Panko bread crumbs more if needed
1 tsp parsley or cilantro finely chopped, for garnish
1 tbsp avocado oil for brushing air fryer pan and shrimp
Directions:
Step 1: Add all the ingredients for the sauce in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Prepare the Air Fryer and preheat to about 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 3: Apply cooking spray or avocado oil on the Air Fryer.
Step 4: Dip one shrimp into the cornstarch, buttermilk, then into the bread crumbs. Repeat this to the rest of the shrimp.
Step 5: Place the shrimp into the preheated Air Fryer. Cover it and cook each side for about 5 minutes or until done.
Step 6: Place the cooked shrimp on a clean serving plate.
Step 7: Drizzle the bang bang sauce on top of the shrimp.
Step 8: Sprinkle parsley or cilantro on top.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
You can also cook this recipe in a skillet. Just adjust the cooking time to about 2 to 3 minutes to cook the shrimp on each side.
