Ingredients:

2 cloves garlic, grated

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 c brown sugar or honey

1/2 c hot/chilli sauce (such as Frank’s Red Hot or Sriracha)

1 pinch red pepper flakes

1 lb. boneless and skinless chicken breasts

salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp soy sauce (gluten-free for gluten-free)

1 tbsp oil

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Immediately add the soy sauce, hot sauce, chilli pepper flakes, and vinegar. Stir until well blended. Make sure that the sugar is dissolved completely. Remove from the heat.

Place an oven-proof skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Add oil and allow it to become hot.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken, then rub each until well coated.

Add the chicken pieces into the hot skillet, then cook each side for about 5 minutes or until they turn brown.

Transfer the skillet inside the preheated oven and cook the chicken for about 10 to 15 more minutes or until done. Make sure to baste each chicken with the sauce every 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes.

Sprinkle your preferred herbs on top to garnish.

Serve warm with the rest of the sauce. Enjoy!
