I am so excited to share this recipe with you! These pork chops covered in garlic-brown sugar is ridiculously delicious! Serve them with some veggies on the side, and you have yourself a meal of a lifetime. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp vegetable oil
fresh parsley, chopped
2 Bone-in thick pork chops, about 1 inch thick
salt and pepper
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the pork chops, then toss until well coated.
Place an oven-proof skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the pork chops, then sear each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn brown. Transfer the pork chops onto a clean plate. Cover them with something to keep warm.
Add butter to the same skillet and allow it to melt.
Add red pepper, brown sugar, and garlic. Sauté for 3 minutes or until soft and aromatic.
Put the pork chops back into the skillet, then toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the pork chops for about 10 minutes or until done. They should be fork-tender.
Remove the pork chops from the oven and allow them to sit for a few minutes at room temperature.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use a baking dish when baking the pork chops.
Make sure to sear the pork chops. This step is not optional. Searing would bring out their best flavors!
