SAUSAGE EGG AND CHEESE STUFFED BISCUITS

Ingredients:

Biscuits:

1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 stick unsalted butter, cubed

1 tsp kosher salt

3/4 c buttermilk

1 tbsp chives, minced

2 c all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

Sausage, Egg, Cheese Filling:

6 eggs, scrambled

8 breakfast sausage patties, fully cooked

1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Add flour, baking powder, and salt into a food processor, then pulse a few times until well blended.

Add cheddar cheese, chives, and butter. Pulse again until well blended as well.

Add the buttermilk and pulse until well blended.

Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then transfer the dough on it. Knead and roll it into 1/2-inch thick.

Slice the dough into circles.

Top each dough with cheese, 1 sausage patty, and 2 tbsp of scrambled eggs.

Top the dough with another dough, seal the edges with your fingers.

Line with parchment paper onto a baking sheet.

Arrange biscuit rolls onto the prepared baking sheet. You will make about 8 rolls. Make sure to leave a small space between each biscuit roll.

Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the biscuits for about 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow the biscuits to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.

Serve warm and enjoy!

Note:

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. Thet can last up to one week.
