This dish is best served pretty much any time of the day! Oh, man, you need to give this one a try! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 onions, peeled and sliced
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tsp thyme
2/3 cup low sodium beef broth
2 tablespoons balsamic Vinegar
4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 c Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 c Parmesan cheese, shredded
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 4: Add butter and allow it to melt.
Step 5: Add the onions and sauté for a few minutes until translucent.
Step 6: Turn the heat down to medium, then add the garlic, thyme, and pepper. Continue to cook for 1 more minute.
Step 7: Add the balsamic vinegar and beef broth. Stir until well mixed.
Step 8: Take 1/3 of the mixture and spread it on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 9: Arrange the chicken over the onion mixture and season them with salt.
Step 10: Spread the rest of the onion mixture over the chicken.
Step 11: Sprinkle Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 12: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until done.
Step 13: Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
