There are many ways to describe the awesomeness of this meatloaf, yet no words really capture just how good it is. Oh, there’s really no secret ingredient.. at least not one that you can’t easily get. But when you’ve worked your magic in the kitchen, you’d feel like there’s something secret in this.

2 pounds ground chuck
½ cup plain bread crumbs
1 cup and 1 tablespoon zesty bloody Mary mix
1 egg
1 small onion, minced
1 small bell pepper, minced
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup of ketchup


The process

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees, the slightly grease a baking dish using a non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs and the cup of bloody Mary mix well, leave it for about 3 to 5 minutes, for the bread crumbs to absorb the liquid.
Step 3: Combine the meat, moistened bread crumbs, egg, onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, pepper and salt in a large bowl, mix them well until they are just combined. (do not overmix)
Step 4: Pour the mixture into the baking dish, so that it forms a loaf at the center of the dish.
Step 5: Add and mix the ketchup and the remaining bloody Mary mix well in a bowl and spread it on top of the meatloaf.
Step 6: Allow to bake uncovered for 50 to 60 minutes, until it is cooked. Remove and leave it for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
