PUFF PASTRY 1 sheet
APPLES 2
EGG YOLK 1
POWDERED SUGAR

How To Make Puff Pastry Apple Doughnuts?

Step 1
Peel the apples.

Cut the apples into slices.

Remove the center from each slice, then place the apple slices on a puff pastry sheet.

Use a small bowl to cut rounds around the apple.

Cut other circles of the same size and place them on top of each apple.

Cut out the center of the puff pastry.

Close the outside edges with a fork.

Place on a baking tray. Brush each slice with beaten egg yolk.

Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C/356°F.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve.

Notes
You can use other fruits for these Puff Pastry Apple Doughnuts. Substitute the apple rings with banana, firm peach slices, and even pears.
