PORK CHOPS WITH APPLE CIDER GLAZE

Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 25 mins | Total: 45 mins | Servings: 6 | Yield: 6 pork chops

These are the perfect pork chops! Well seasoned with a mouthwatering taste. Tender chops with a sweet and savory glaze – I could not ask for anything! Best to serve alongside anything. My favorite though is serving this alongside rice or mashed or roasted potatoes. This is to die for!

Ingredients:

6 (6 ounces) boneless center-cut pork chops

1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

2 cups apple cider

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon minced rosemary

1 pinch red pepper flakes

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the pork chops, season them with salt and black pepper.

Step 2: In a heavy skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned pork chops and cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until browned and slightly pink. If you have an available instant-read thermometer use it. Insert it in the center of the pork chop and it should read about 145 degrees F or 63 degrees C.

Step 3: Take the chops out of the skillet and place on a plate.

Step 4: Using the pan, sautee the garlic for 30 seconds over medium-high heat. Add in the vinegar, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 5: Stir in the apple cider and Dijon mustard. Bring the mixture into a boil and cook for 3 to 4 minutes more until the sauce is reduced and has thicked.

Step 6: Add and stir in the rosemary and red pepper flakes. To taste, season with salt and black pepper.

Step 7: Place the pork chops back into the pan and slightly warm for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
