MEATBALL WELLINGTON

Juicy, tender, and delicious meatballs wrapped in puff pastry are just what you might need today! Serve these bad boys with tomato sauce or marinara sauce and you have yourself a main dish or appetizer to die for! Your loved ones will surely love them. Give this recipe a try. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 c breadcrumbs

1 Egg

1 pinch salt

1 pinch freshly ground black pepper

1/2 c onion, minced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 c fresh parsley, chopped

Thawed puff pastry, cut into 4-inch squares

2 c shredded mozzarella

1 Egg, beaten

Tomato sauce, for serving

Fresh basil, for garnish

Grated Parmesan, for garnish

Directions:

Step 1: Place the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic cloves, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: From 1 ½-inch small balls out of the mixture.

Step 3: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 4: Arrange the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Broil the meatballs for about 7 to 10 minutes or until done. Allow them to cool at room temperature.

Step 6: Prepared the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Step 7: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and place the puff squares on it.

Step 8: Add a stockpile tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the middle of the squares.

Step 9: Top each cheese with a meatball.

Step 10: Wrap until the meatball is completely covered.

Step 11: Arrange the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet with seams side down.

Step 12: Brush each meatball with the egg wash.

Step 13: Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until done.

Step 14: Remove from the oven and garnish with Parmesan cheese and basil.

Step 15: Serve with tomato sauce. Enjoy!
