CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE CHEESECAKE BARS

I will surely serve these Cheesecake Bars on Christmas! I love how all the ingredients complement each other to make such an amazing batch of heavenly treats!

Ingredients:

CRUST:

1 – 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

1/3 cup melted butter

2 Tablespoons sugar

FILLING:

1 – 8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup sugar

1 Egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

COOKIE DOUGH:

1/3 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup flour

2/3 cup chocolate chips, ( i used milk chocolate )

A pinch of salt

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 325 degrees F.

Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter. Beat until well mixed.

Step 3: Apply cooking spray in a 9×9-inch baking dish.

Step 4: Add the mixture into the prepared pan and press it hard on the bottom.

Step 5: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes.

Step 6: In a small mixing bowl, add in 1/3 cup of sugar and cream cheese. Beat until creamy.

Step 7: Add in the vanilla and egg. Stir until well mixed.

Step 8: Spread the mixture on top of the crust.

Step 9: In another mixing bowl, add in the butter, vanilla extract, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until well combined.

Step 10: Add in ¾ cup of flour and salt. Beat until it turns into dough.

Step 11: Add in the chocolate chips and stir until well combined.

Step 12: Form the cookie dough into small balls. Break tiny pieces of the dough and top the cheesecake layer with it.

Step 13: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the colour turns brown.

Step 14: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.

Step 15: Slice into small bars or squares.

Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
