EASY 3 MINUTE FUDGE

This should really be called The Easy-to-make-and-tastes-amazing Fudge, but that’s a pretty long title so we just call it Easy 3-Minute Fudge.
It takes only 3 minutes to cook and you’ll only need 3 ingredients.
If you think that sounds like a dream, wait till you taste this fudge.

When it comes to sweet treats, fudge is number one at our house. It doesn’t really matter what type of fudge I’m making, the kids will devour it as if it was the last piece of food on Earth. Usually I try a new recipe almost every month, because I am always looking for healthier choices and new ways of preparing common household dishes; just to spice things up for the hubby and the kids (and myself, of course). If it’s a good recipe, that turns out great (with an outstanding positive reaction from the kids), it is stored in my secret stash of dessert recipes.

And, this Easy 3-Minute recipe has definitely made the cut!

What do I love about it?

The recipe itself is written in a way that showcases the simplicity of the dish. The steps are clearly stated and easy to follow, however, you may still run into a few snags; in which case, you should consult us. But like I said, all the steps are really easy to follow and they don’t take a lot of time or any special equipment.

Why do I love this fudge?

The thing about this particular fudge is the unique flavoring. Yeah, you guessed it! The vanilla extract; I’m not going to lie, that’s the secret ingredient of this Easy 3 Minutes Fudge – you know, that one thing that the dish could do without, but…it just gives it this undeniable richness that makes the dish taste wonderful. And I speak from experience.

After trying this Easy 3-Minute Fudge recipe with and without the vanilla extract, I will tell you not to skim on the required quantity (that precious 1 teaspoon vanilla extract). If the fudge didn’t taste so much better with the vanilla extract, I would have called it the Easy 2-minutes 2-ingredients fudge recipe. However, that is a discovery for another day.

While this particular Easy 3-Minute Fudge recipe is highly nutritious and – dare I say – healthy I wouldn’t recommend it for someone on a diabetic diet. If you’re diabetic, even if you use unsweetened condensed milk and unsweetened chocolate chips, you probably should consult your nutritionist. The same thing goes for those who are on a low fat, or low calorie diet. This Easy 3-Minute Fudge recipe contains an estimated 411 calories per 100grams.

You can reduce this calorie count by changing the type of milk (or the quantity). While I wouldn’t advise you to remove the condensed milk completely – because of its binding property on the rest of the ingredients – you can simply choose a can of the unsweetened kind. Another way to reduce the calorie count would be to trade the 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips for the unsweetened kind. And if you can’t do any of those, you can think about reducing the quantities of those ingredients.

All in all, I consider this Easy 3-Minute Fudge recipe a real find, and I will continue to make it for a long time.
